Aesthetic medicine is a technical term for cosmetic or plastic surgery. It is a more politically correct way of phrasing the area of the medical field that relates to altering one’s physical appearance for the sake of looking better. Examples of this type of treatment include Botox injections, breast augmentations, face lifts, tummy tucks, and other procedures of a cosmetic nature. Surprisingly, there are even some medical procedures that are a part of this area because of their more cosmetic nature, such as spider vein removal and varicose vein removal, when there is no medical urgency behind the procedure. …
